This rescue dog’s reaction to seeing snow for the first time is winning hearts online. The clip was shared by @bundleofbullies and features a dog named Potato enjoying the snowy weather with his mom. The yard was beautifully covered in snow. For Potato, this was the first time seeing snow. He clearly enjoyed the moment as his mom picked up some snow, shaped it into a small ball, and held it out for him to sniff.

This adorable rescue dog clearly loves being in the snow. But instead of playing in it, he decides to stay calm, soaking in the beauty of the snowy weather. As the video starts, the dog is seen bundled up in warm, cozy clothes to stay protected from the chilly air. His mom sits down, picks up some snow in her hands, and holds it out for him.

The fur baby leans forward and sniffs it carefully, trying to figure out what it is. He even tastes a bit of the snow, looking curious and excited at the same time. His mom then shapes the snow into a small ball and tosses it around the yard, as if trying to play a game of fetch with him. The dog seems unamused and reluctant to play in the snow.

He appears to prefer silent fun and chooses to simply take it all in quietly: the cold air, the snowy ground, and the peaceful moment with his mom. Since it’s too cold outside, his mom suggests they go back in. As she heads inside, he follows her without hesitation. While the snow was interesting, being close to his mom mattered more to him.

The video’s caption reads, “Safe to say it’s not a snow dog,” which perfectly captures the vibe of the clip. The pup clearly just wanted to enjoy the calm moment rather than play in the snow and have zoomies like dogs usually do.
